Ifigenia is an average villa, with a very nicely decorated yard and spacious and unusual apartments. It is great as a base for touring the island, sheltered from traffic and noise, yet close to all amenities. In the yard, there is a real little paradise for the youngest visitors, given the large number of toys.
The accommodation is located in Skala Potamija, about 400m from the beach, on a hill, 200m from the center.
Villa Iphigenia consists of two connected buildings, with entrances from the courtyard at the front, or from the external stairs and hallway at the back. In the back part of the yard there is a children's playground with a slide, see-saws, swings and rocking horses, and in the front part there is a beautifully landscaped lawn with tables and chairs, paved paths, a brick barbecue, a dining area under a canopy, flowers, palm trees and a phenomenal view of Skala Potamia and the sea.
There are nine air-conditioned accommodation units, named after muses from Greek mythology, and the beds are arranged as follows:
Studies:
Euterpi, with three single beds and a couch
Kaliopi, with three single beds and a folding armchair
Erato, with three single beds and a folding armchair
Terpsichores, with one French and bunk beds
Melpomeni, with three single beds and a couch
All studios are located on the first floor, except for Melpomeni, which is located on the ground floor.
Apartments:
Urania, with one French and three single beds
Clio, with one French and two single beds, with the possibility of inserting a sofa
Talia, with two French beds, one of which is narrower than standard
Polymnia, with four single beds and a sofa bed
Urania and Thalia are located on the top floor, while Clio and Polymnia are located on the ground floor. It should be noted that the Urania apartment has a smaller balcony and bathroom, and that Talia is the smallest accommodation unit of the three. Urania and Talia have accordion doors that separate one part of the unit from another.
Apartments can host 4-5 people, and studios 2-4 people. The beds are a combination of French and single beds, and a folding sofa. The furniture is new, the kitchens and bathrooms are of medium quality, the terraces are either separate or long and shared, usually with a view of the sea. If there are five people staying in the studios, the space is lost significantly, so it can be cramped. Accommodation units on the ground floor do not have fenced terraces, but a porch in front of the entrance or a part of the yard with a table and chairs.
A duplex apartment on the ground floor with a capacity of up to five people, with two bedrooms (each with two single beds and a sofa), with a kitchen, bathroom, exit to the yard, TV and air conditioning, could be particularly interesting for two couples with one child each or for one large family, considering the separation of rooms and duplicated kitchens, bathrooms, exits and equipment. The other apartments (one on the ground floor and two in the attic) have separate rooms (sometimes only with a port, not a door), a kitchen and a bathroom. All accommodation units have TV and internet, and the kitchens have medium-sized refrigerators.
The area of the studio is about 21m2, while the area of the apartment varies, from 30m2 to 35m2.
Cleaning, changing of towels and bed linen is done every third day.
The yard is really beautifully decorated, full of greenery, paths and flowers. There is also a common area for socializing with an outstanding view of the bay. In the second part of the yard, there are a large number of toys for the youngest visitors. There is also a small basketball court.
This accommodation does not have private parking, but there is a parking space nearby where you can leave your vehicle.
In order to reach Iphigenia, you need to turn at the supermarket Niki, from the street parallel to the central one, onto a narrow and bad road that leads uphill (about 100m) to Villa Iphigenia. In the courtyard of the villa there is also a parking space for one larger or two smaller cars, and there are more parking spaces nearby. The villa is easy to spot, it is surrounded by greenery, palm trees, bushes and flowers, and there is an advertising board next to the entrance gate (shown in the photos).
It can be a good solution considering the proximity to the center, favorable prices, the size of the accommodation units, parking, landscaped yard and fantastic panoramic view. It is ideal for a quiet family vacation, and the owners are wonderful family people, cordial and unobtrusive
